NG Switzerland is a community conference, and communities run on people who lend a hand. Sign up and help us make it happen.

What volunteers do

NG Switzerland is run by the community, and on the conference days it is carried by volunteers. The jobs are simple but they make the conference:

  • Registration desk: badges, smiles, first questions
  • Speaker support: water, timers, a calm voice before the talk
  • Room support: doors, seats, microphones for questions
  • Wayfinding: making sure nobody gets lost between rooms
  • Setup and teardown: building the conference up and taking it down again

When we need you

Setup happens the day before the workshop day. The workshop day is 11 February, the conference day is 12 February 2027, and teardown follows right after the last talk.

You do not have to be there for all of it. Tell us when you can help, and we will plan around that. Shifts are organised so that every volunteer also gets to see talks.

What you get

Free access to the conference, a crew t-shirt, and a team that is very happy you are there. Volunteering is also the fastest way to meet everyone, including the speakers.
